I felt like this playing Shadow of the Colossus. They look so freaking alive that it's really unnerving to have to kill them. Especially the one that doesn't even attack and just tries to run away while you're hacking at it, omg :|

I came here to say the same. I got to the fourth colossus (I think) and there came a point when I realized I was just stabbing the poor thing right in the head and felt so bad I stopped and left. Seriously, fuck Mono; Wander needs to learn to accept death instead of fixing it by killing more things.

See, that is why I prefer my games stylized because then I don't get all this guilt over virtual people who don't and never will exist. I respect that realistic games are awesome, too. But I just can't play them. I have too much of an empathizing heart, I suppose.
