I agree. And I don't mean "I want to see mega-muscley dudes with exaggerated armpit hair for the fetish value" either. I draw for anime and manga fandoms, and I do give the men I draw pubic hair and armpit hair, and if they're canonically hairy guys, I'll sometimes give them armpit and leg hair, too. And I'm sometimes baffled when someone makes a negative comment about it... why *wouldn't* I give an adult male pubes, though?

It's hard to make body hair look natural (paradoxically) in manga/anime because it's so unrealistic/stylised in the first place though, isn't it? Depending on the manga, of course; I'm reading One Piece right now, and some of the men have leg hair while others don't, and I find that really funny, for some reason.

Well, I don't really do it in the original style - I guess my stuff is somewhere between manga style and psuedo-realism? I don't know, I don't really claim to have a style XD But yeah, it is hard to get it to look right, sometimes. You have to stylize the pubes to the same degree that you stylize the hair (and the penis, lol.)

Yeah, I've always thought that it seems hard to draw anime/manga style; it's so stylised that even the smallest mistakes becomes obvious, it's hard to make naked bodies look natural while keeping true to the source material, and you have to be a really good artist to know which rules to break to make it look good while still doing extreme styles. Not that I haven't seen it done, of course, but it just seems so difficult!

That said, I think artists that are inspired by a style and try to create something of their own rather than just copying one style in particular can make some really awesome work.
