This is actually a good idea.

But it kind of annoys me that something so simple as armpit hair has to be in the alt porn section.

I agree. And I don't mean "I want to see mega-muscley dudes with exaggerated armpit hair for the fetish value" either. I draw for anime and manga fandoms, and I do give the men I draw pubic hair and armpit hair, and if they're canonically hairy guys, I'll sometimes give them armpit and leg hair, too. And I'm sometimes baffled when someone makes a negative comment about it... why *wouldn't* I give an adult male pubes, though?

^meant to say, Ill sometimes give them ARM and leg hair, oops

It's hard to make body hair look natural (paradoxically) in manga/anime because it's so unrealistic/stylised in the first place though, isn't it? Depending on the manga, of course; I'm reading One Piece right now, and some of the men have leg hair while others don't, and I find that really funny, for some reason.

I'd like to see some body hair on women, too, and the only way you can really find that is either a joke or an exaggerated hair-fetish thing (which is fine, but a bit much for me). A little leg hair without it being a big deal would be nice once in a while.

I agree so much, the problem is that it looks so awkward! I've tried to give the males I draw arm-pit, leg and arm hair and it just doesn't go well with the anime/manga/cartoon style, I'm not sure why... Stomach hair, or gold trail, on the other hand always looks good. :/

I'd prefer to see more women with body hair in fanart. Don't care much about the men. (I'm actually partial to the thin-waify-men-with-little-body-hair aesthetic, so anime style works just fine for me in that regard.)

Seriously, I love me some hairy people. It's not really a fetish thing for me (I'm asexual, lols) more a texture thing, but anyways. I'm always saddened when people get their entire bodies mysteriously waxed in fanart.

I dunno. The rest of body hair I'm fine with, wouldn't even mind girls w/ hairy legs, etc, but NO ONE should have armpit hair. I mean, seriously, if I ever meet God, I'm going to have to file a complaint about its existence.

Though, different strokes. I don't expect the universe to comply with my tastes.

Also I hate when people take characters who are CANONICALLY hairy and then mysteriously remove all their hair when they're not looking. SURPRISE WAX ATTACK or something. _{(HETALIA FANDOM WHY U DO DIS TO FRANCE)}

I'm pretty sure I remember France shaving his chest hair in canon at least once, and Himaruya seems to have "waxed" him in the recent tanktop picture as well. So why shouldn't the fandom be allowed to do this as well?

Also, double standards much if it's ok for girls to shave their armpits but not for guys? Some people (guys included) don't like hairy armpits, and others might do it solely for hygienic reasons. And who knows how many other reasons exist.

I don't find body hair attractive on men (aside from pubic hair lol), and especially not pit hair. But if a character is canonically hairy in the first place I suppose it would make sense to draw it in.

But pit hair ugh. If it's just a bit fuzzy I can handle it, but long pit hair just makes me wince.
