This isn't about politics, it's about geographical, physical location. You don't have to identify as an American to be from the US! Chill!

They can't; they just saw the big bar next to US (which formed through no actual fault of the US except perhaps by procreation via its inhabitants, oh, and immigration) and started in. I'm so shocked, really.
