"On a random note, I'm tired of hearing about RPers falling in love with each other. I love my rp partners and all, but as friends! I like their characters as characters. If you can't separate yourself from your character and your friend from their character, you need to stop role playing."

It's perfectly possible to fall in love with a roleplayer for who they are OOC, since you start talking and all. The secrets aren't about "I love this person's character," it's "I love this person," you know? I don't find it so stupid.

True enough, but quite a few of them say "I fell in love with you through this character" or "through your journal" and that's just silly to me.

Even if they are falling in love with their true selves through casual conversation, it's generally long distance and often fruitless, no matter how in love they are. I say spare yourself the pain and just stay good friends.

*dies* Yeah, I know. I'm just saying it's not always falling for an RP character or something (which I agree is kind of a dumb thing to do).

I'm all for good friends!
