You know, OP . . . I don't think you should feel too bad. I mean, I don't know what that video is and maybe you didn't mean for your fic to help so many people, but the fact is, it did. Or, well, people said that it helped them, and I think that's what matters.

Even if you feel like you should have put more effort into the fic or whatever, the point is, it helped as it is. I don't think you should feel bad about that.

I really love the way Kurt is being handled, actually.

But I completely agree with the whole "Kurtofsky" bullshit. The whole pairing makes me really uncomfortable, especially with the whole "Oh! But he's repressed! That makes all his actions okay!" Just...no. Kurt obviously isn't into him, has made it very clear. Hell, when Kurofsky crowded him near his locker and took his wedding topper, Kurt came out of his shaking. None of this is romantic whatsoever.

I completely understand OP. Yes, I have some very close friends that I met online - but I'm only super close with the ones who then became my RL friends too. And even then, I notice a big difference between the way they are when they meet my friends and the way other people (ie not online friends) act when they meet my friends.

I've found that it's online "friends" who have turned against me all too easily and been overly judgemental for stupid shit, like OMG LIKING A TV SHOW THEY DON'T or the fact that I go out on the weekends instead of sitting inside on my computer for 3 days straight (no, seriously, apparently this is a serious crime in the fandom world, wat?), or the fact that I have other things in my life other than fandoms and don't JUST want to talk about fandom stuff all the time.

Talking through a computer screen will never be the same as hanging out with a big group of friends at someone's house or a pub or park or something, having parties and nights out together, not ever (for me anyway).

And I think that a lot of idiots are trying to start wank over this because they're butthurt or something idk.
