I don't even read kuroshitsuji; I tried it, didn't like it. I'm not defending the manga. I'm just pointing out the OP's hypocrisy.

It's true that a lot of manga/anime series rely heavily on fanservice(though not all). It's true that it's often homosexual undertones. It's perfectly all right to dislike all fanservie, and it's even all right to dislike there being a lot of m/m because some people just aren't into reading or watching slash, and that's ok.

What's not all right is justifying your dislike of slash by dragging the issue of pandering to an audience into it. I also took issue with the whole "squealing fans" bit-- not everyone who likes having fluffy bromantic action in their storylines is the hyperbolic drooling fanbrat.

The majority of all mainstream media has fanservice, not just manga/anime. A lot of popular musicians wear sexy clothes. Many action films are full of pointless tits, muscle, and explosions. Romance novels are pretty much pure fanservice for women. Similarly, many comics (including Japanese ones), music, movies, and books don't have any titillating material.

OP didn't say, "I don't like yaoi UST because it's not my thing." OP said, "I don't like yaoi UST because it's fanservice." Well, if that's the case, the shouldn't OP dislike all kinds of fanservice? And if OP doesn't dislike all kinds of fanservice, well...then that means that OP dislikes yaoi UST for some other reason, and yet felt the need to make up random bullshit about it.
