(Anonymous) 2010-12-20 07:57 am (UTC)(link)Thing is, not all anime fans are like that (and I've seen comics and video game fans like that as well). If you can't get into a fandom because you don't want to get associated with the fans (or what you think all the fans seem to be)... you've got a problem. Of course, you can always watch anime by yourself and lurk in the fandom. Or just interact with other fans online. You don't have to interact with the fans (especially, ugh, fans like that) IRL if you don't want to.
