Uh, she specifically said she didn't intend to create wank, dude. I don't see why everyone's jumping on her, she seems genuinely contrite about the whole affair and what it hath wrought, and is just suggesting everyone let it go.

Cause seriously, you guys are still just pretending to be fictional characters on the internet. No need to get all srs bizness.

Yes -- pretending to be fictional characters on the internet is what we do -- IN ACAW. This, however, is us being ourselves, in real life. And it is US, being ourselves, IN REAL LIFE, that are being thought by tons of people to be arrogant and elitest because someone completely uninvolved with the RP itself thought "lol i guess i'll write this without thinking."

Well, for one thing, I think her (his?) tone doesn't sound really sincere, and I think the drama has gone over from our RPing over to us players being called elitest and arrogant and stuck up and god knows what else, so some people might be a little irritated. ^^;

Toy making, while intended to bring laughter, is serious business. Comedians cause laughter with sometimes bad jokes, but it is serious business. Role playing is serious if those who go about it are serious about it.

I'm just saying, it's fine to enjoy it as a hobby, but when it starts to intrude on your personal feelings on a matter, you might want to step back and realize what you're so invested in does not have any bearing on your actual life. Don't let people turn a hobby into something that upsets you IRL, cause where's the fun in that?

But you see, it's not the characters we're talking about. It's the toymakers, the comedians, the people outside the "lol fictional" realm. We exist, obviously. Insults directed toward real people are going to be taken seriously.
