But... this fandom has only existed for like, five minutes. I think you need to take a feeeew steps back and take a deep breath or ten, before reconsidering putting people you've known for like, two weeks, over people who've been with you for years.

Well...there are people who have been fans of the first movie (and associated games) since 1982 - I certainly been on the mailing list for the fandom since 2001. It wasn't a huge, heaving fandom, but it was there. Didn't realise the new movie had a separate fandom *shrug*

I don't know whether this is the bunch of fans the OP is referring to though.

I haven't seen the movie yet, so I kind of assumed that there were differences between the original and the new one, which would lead me to believe that there were different fandoms for each. The secret did specify the new movie, and not just "Tron fandom," so.
