If you're talking about Zarla, then I fully agree. This might sound shallow but for some reason I really dislike her. Well, not so much her, but her fanbase who seems to worship her for nothing; her art is terrible and her humor is weak yet she still gets her ass licked.
Maybe I'm not getting it but oh well.

I would say you're not getting it? Because I find Zar universally hilarious and awesome and (though I know her art style isn't really all that special) her art is emotive and conveys what she want marvelously.

But that is okay! I don't get why a lot of other popular artists and fans are popular, either. XD

I think I might know who you're talking about, and yeah, I agree. They aren't a very nice person, and I stopped following them ages ago because after a while, I tried to say something and they were all "hurrdurr this person is stupid look aren't i funny ugaiz".

Your opinion is your opinion, but the fanbase is tiny enough - I hate to see anyone go, even the Syreen blue-boob-fetishists who jumped to Avatar fandom. It's a big galaxy, and we can all ship what we want in it without treading on each others' toes/talons/tentacles/pseudopods.

If you're talking about Zar:

Without Zar, I would never have discovered SC2 fandom, and I think that would be a crying shame. I love the game and the people and everything, and having a BNF like Zar at the head made me so, so happy.

And what was there to complain about her writing about the VUX? :\ Anything is good when it's "anything" or "practically nothing," and also Zar's a pretty good writer!

(Also, is she out of the fandom, or just more in L4D fandom now? I just played off her ZEX in Damned, like, last month.)

I have opposite opinion. I'm sad when Zarla moves on to something else, because I really enjoy her SC2 and MGS stuff. But people's interests change.

I like her fine, but got really tired really fast of the LJ-based SC2 fandom being All VUX All The Time and ZEX being Draco-In-Leather-Pants'd. If her departure makes these things any less prevalent (... which it may not), so much the better.
