My only nitpick with this is that Hyde was in love with Jackie, but he was never whipped and didn't lose his badassery, and he probably wouldn't have even had a Facebook to post sappy statuses on because the government probably would use it to spy on him. :I

But that really sucks, though, OP. I know how it feels to be ditched by best friend(s) for their various significant others.

All friendships change and grow, especially as you get older. Significant people come into your life, you have kids, you lose someone, whatever. You have to be able to adapt together to keep the friendship alive.

Give it time. Don't give up on it. If you keep trying I am sure you can find a place for each other in your lives. It may not be *the same* as it used to be, but it will still be worth something. It will be worth a lot.

I'm on the verge of losing my Hyde to another person, as well. :( we Erics just have to, I don't even know. try to find our Donnas and not think about it too much.
