Why are people so quick to concede that discussions of sex, romance and interpersonal relationships are naturally inferior to discussions of made up technology and, for fuck's sake, OUTFITS. Sorry Op, but you and your interests are not better, smarter, more meaningful or more interesting than other people's. If we're insisting on dividing works of fiction into these categories, both sides offer equal opportunities for depth and silliness. The more I hear this kind of crap about romance and relationships, the more I have to think it's because these things are considered "girl's interests" and, of course, what women like must be useless. Internalized misogyny yay!
