I think it's a great time for a rec meme esp since so many tiny fandoms got fic in Yuletide and other holiday exchanges. So there's a lot of new stuff floating around.
No matter what gets chosen, could you tell us roughly WHEN it's gonna be posted? I always seem to miss these things, and when I make a comment on page 50-something I never get replies -_-;
On a more serious note, I second the crossover fanwork meme. Although I'd really love a meme for all the times where a secret has had people saying "I would read that" or "this needs to be written." Because I always wonder if anyone ever did make something out of them, even if it wasn't something I would personally read.
IMO, there have been some really awesome ones. Like this secret where the OP liked to imagine that Tom Hanks and other actors/celebrities go around in a van saving the world from evil geniuses and organised criminals when not doing their usual job (which I cannot find now for the life of me). Then there's a secret where someone wanted epic fic about the M&Ms (which I found while looking for the previous one). For the record, I'd read the first one in a heartbeat.
PS: If I sound a bit mad and disjointed here, that's because my brain has been fried watching the Nostalgia Critic's Neverending Story 3 review. I will never be able to listen to Born to Be Wild again.
I'd like to see a recipe meme, where fans can request recipes for foods that appear in their favorite fandoms. For example... • Authentic ramen recipes for "Ranma ½" fans. • I know one Harry Potter fan who wants to taste mincemeat pie. • Poppy seed crescent rolls, like The Hunger Games's District 11? • I, personally, would like to know how to make klav khalash, or some facsimile thereof.

I've met some seriously awesome people through those in the past, whether it was Overlooked Fandoms or just in general.

Another rec meme would be swell, too! It's practically the only way I'll find fanworks (or fans in general) of my most obscure favourites.
