I think the classic game soundtracks, with the exception of a select few, are overrated. Am I a bad person? :/

I'll agree with you. I love the Chrono Trigger soundtrack, and a few tracks from FF6, but most of FF6, the earlier FFs, other games from that era, I'm really not enthralled by.

'Course not! There are some popular classic game soundtracks that don't do it for me at all, either. And there are lots of more recent game OSTs I love!

Liiike... well, your icon made me think of Sonic Adventure 2. I adore that OST! ♥

I don't like the whole "you have to like one or the other" mentality. I think there's pretty much an equal number of "classic" and "new" soundtracks that are overrated.

I judge a song based on its tune, not what it's made on.
