I think he's dead, but my boyfriend who considers himself an expert in all things Jumpy, is positive he is alive. He doesnt even give a crap about ships, but Gin is such a well received character in Japan, and given the asspulls this series is notorious for, he is super cynical that Gin is really gone.

Kubo makes fucking awsome characters, but can't really do anything past that point, like giving them the development they need
