Echoing sentiments about movies being fun alone: you really should just go for it! I almost went to see this movie alone for pretty much the same reason (+ also I am very into the overall visual appeal of Pretty Blue Lights). I managed to con someone else into seeing it with me, but I still would've gone if I couldn't find anyone. Actually, the best movie-going experience I ever had was when I went alone to some Chinese action flick at a tiny theater. The only other people there were a bunch of old Chinese people getting all excited about the cast when the opening credits came on. If you pick the theater right, it can be really fun just hearing everyone else get excited and not having to worry about them wondering "why is that chick there by herself?"

Alternatively, just tell your friends you have the hots for her and justify it with "it's just a girlcrush." I have too many "girlcrushes" for that excuse to be convincing, but hey, it's effective for a few of my friends.
