People who are writing porn that completely doesn't work for the original canon, though. At least with the FFVII fandom I was used to having only 30% of the fandom who had played the game. It's pretty unpleasant to see that happening to all of them.

I don't know, call me old fashioned, but I don't want to read porn about a character who just happens to look like a character I like. I want them to actually be correct for that character, and the only way anyone can actually write porn that's accurate is if they care about the actual character, not their shallow Dissidia shadow.
