because you'd say 'a roleplay' or 'an arr-pee'. to say 'a rp' is correct but sounds weird.

Thanks for the help. I probably should've noticed that earlier but whenever I see an acronym I read the whole acrnonym and not just the letters. Like when I see RP, in my head I'm reading role-Play, instead. Which is why "an RP" sounded weird to me, because I read it as 'an role-play' and not 'an arr-pee'.
