I'm guessing OP is transgendered (I'd say FTM, but I don't want to jump to conclusions).

(Although I'm a bit confused by their saying that they 'pretend' to be a guy. If you identify as male, it's not pretending.)

Yeah, this is it. "Pretend" wasn't the right word, but I couldn't think of a better one. Plus I guess it's a bit of an internalized insecurity feeling-like-a-fake... thing. Ha ha coherency what is that, it's six in the morning here.

yeah, I know exactly what you mean... I spent most of my life feeling like a fake woman, and after admitting I was trans I just felt like a fake man, albeit in a different way.

Do you know about http://www.questioningtransphobia.com? Someone recommended it to me once, and it's an excellent, excellent blog that helped me greatly in accepting myself.
