lol, totally did. The moral behind the story is more about reaching out and understanding then 'animal rights'. Since, you know, the dragons ate humans too. In the end there was no choice for the dragons or the humans until one person reached out and thought, maybe we don't need to kill one another and can help each other out. This is not a: maybe we can all be happy vegans together =D because then the dragons would die as would the humans.

In a sense the op missed the point entirely since this is more about overcoming racism then 'luving the cute dwagon' though I know she states that.

OP said they know that it's not an animal rights story was my point. It's about acceptance for being for something that typically makes you an outcast. That's what I got from it.

yet the Iroquois from Canada are now outcasts since their native livelihood is not 'what is accepted'. Mainly that they eat baby seals. So then, who is the outcast? Someone who is not accepted for not eating meat or someone who is literally told to starve to death or simply abandon their ways and their home because 'society' has deemed them 'incorrect'. Even though they are harming neither themselves, the environment or other animals.

I didn't say I was against people eating animals to survive. My problem with the baby seal killing is the people that kill them for fashion.
Anyway, you're not an Iroquois from Canada, so it's irrelevant.

That is so dumb it borders on me thinking you are brain damaged. To both statements. Do you know how freaking hard it is to hunt baby seals/seals in general? Do you know how over populated they are?

Overpopulated? They're only at a fraction of their original numbers. Sailors used to report seeing them swimming for miles in every direction, you don't have that anymore. And how is it fucking hard to club a defenseless baby seal to death?

It's always hilarious when people accuse me of brain damage when they obviously know nothing about which they speak. But yeah, keep defending clubbing baby seals to death. Sure you'll get far in life with that mindset.
