I had a free service webpage years ago, which I deleted because I was unhappy with the speed and services. Then I had a large hdd crash before I moved the stories to a new place. A person like you, who saved fics she liked, saved pretty much most of what I have written. So I would like to thank you and her and everyone else saving stories for doing so.

Hey, something similar happened to me! But from the other perspective.
I was rereading a story, checked out the author's profile, and there it said that they had lost the fic. So I emailed it back to them.

I don't understand the reasoning behind being upset anyway, because my belief has always been, 'What goes on the internet stays on the internet.' Sure, sometimes things do get lost, but you also can't trust that embarrassing stuff won't turn up again.
