Sorry, now I'm curious - which fandom is this?

Transmetropolitan, a 5-year run of comics about a futuristic journalist written by the one and only Warren Ellis. Very good read, especially in today's political climate despite having ended a few years ago.

I did the same thing for the same reasons. I didn't really get into it - comic books just don't seem to be my thing - but it was still worth reading and it was something I never would have known about otherwise. So yeah thanks dethtoll!

You're welcome! It is a great comic and, I think, doubly important in today's political climate.

Where did you get the comic? Did you buy it? If you got it online, mind sending a link? I have no idea where to look. I've googled, but all I got was torrent files, which I don't trust :|

I have torrented a large number of things and never ever had a virus or got in trouble. I understand your concern but it is rare for things with large numbers of seeders/leechers to be dodgy, or for you to get caught (they go after serial uploaders and big seeders, not random guys, for the most part). Not hassling you there, just some reassurance :T I got a few issues from pirate bay, there is a full torrent up there somewhere iirc. Otherwise either buy them or try something like 4shared I guess!

Depends on where you torrent. I only go two places: thepiratebay and demonoid.

If you PM me I'll try and get you a link, either through a torrent that I trust or through a file hosting site like Megaupload or whatnot.

Also, anyone who uses bittorrent in any fashion would do well to download and install Peerblock. (http://www.peerblock.com/) It's not necessary to run it if you're not torrenting anything, but it's an extra layer of security as well as a security blanket, as it keeps anti-P2P groups and similar entities from looking at what you're downloading.

I think they gave up, especially in light of the general comments thread that I hijacked before they got in.

Where was the one person who was basically saying he was a misogynist monster who would burn in hell forever? We need them.
