I love Nintendo to death, and they are my favorite gaming company. That said, I own almost every single system (I'm only missing the PS3 at this point), and my favorite game of all time is on the PS2.

I judge anyone who is a fanboy/fangirl of any system or company. In my experience, the PS3 fanboys are the worst (good GOD the elitism and wank is IMMENSE), but anyone who will refuse to play a game or a system simply because of the company that made it is an idiot. Let the companies have their console wars. The gamers should just reap the benefits of said wars and enjoy the games.

PC gamers are worse. I know, I am one. Well, predominantly. And with RPGs the elitist nonsense reaches critical levels of pretentious and disappears into its own asshole.

I guess because I'm pretty much only a console gamer, I haven't encountered any PC gaming elitism. And as for RPGs, I love to play them, but the only RPG fandom (besides Pokemon) that I've really ever been involved with is the Tales fandom.

That said, the Tales fandom is batshit friggin' insane and has a 'base more broken than any other at this point, so I know what you're talking about there. :/

When it comes to Western/cRPGs, take everything bad about the Japanese RPG fandom, remove the women, and crank it up to 11. That's the Western RPG fandom. Hoo boy.

I think who's worse just depends on where you go. There are no words for how sick I've gotten of PC owners and Xbros pulling the LOL, PS3 HAS NO GAEMS shit on Sonyfriends.

Whenever I hear somebody get smug that x console has NO GAMES I just mentally translate to "no games THAT I PERSONALLY WISH TO PLAY."

Of course, given how bad much of gaming fandom is about "if I don't like it it's not worth playing," I guess in their minds it's the exact same thing. :(

I basically came here to say the same thing. Word on everything you said. I'll add to that gaming systems cost money. Not everyone can own every single console with every single game on the planet.
