Point out a plothole or a writing flaw in HP, and most -- not all, but most -- HP fans will pretty much have the reaction of, "Yeah, lol, that happened". We know it has flaws. No writer is perfect. But we love it anyway.
Your secret makes me sad, really. Clearly you've only met the crappiest, most immature part of HP fandom and not the much cooler majority.

Or at least there were some really awesome and interesting debates (I say debates and I mean debates. Everyone, but trolls, was incredibly mature, intelligent and respectful)
So yeah, the HP fandom that I hang around are really, pretty cool.
