The difference I think though is that JK has never (to my knowledge) claimed to be some amazing literary genius, I'm pretty sure she'd be aware that their are flaws in her writing as most sensible writers would. Stephanie on the other hand seems to frequently act like she is gods gift to literature, she doesn't take crticism (she actually refuses to read it)and she acts that she is the most amazing unique special flower who came up with this totally original take on vampires from a dream she had (yeah because that has never been done before).

I've heard people talk about the negativity in hp fandom and I know you can get some pretty crazy shippers but I don't think thats any different from most fandoms. That being said I've only really kept to my little corner of the fandom so *shrugs* Personally I just hate HP fans for fuelling the Twilight-vs-HP "war" I'd really hoped that HP fans were intelligent enough to realise that there isn't even any competition and to not sink to the level as those crazy twihards.
