Huh, that background really IS kinda obnoxious. Especially since, as a heavy Photoshop user, I just associate that with transparency so it's really screwing with my mind.

OOC humor is so cheap though. The things that got the biggest laugh out of me tend to remain true in some way to the character's personalities.

For example, Rifyu's comics(YMMV) aren't 100% IC but Ange's still neurotic, Bern is still expressionless when she's not mad and Kirino's still tsundere.

Funny. The thing that makes ME cringe the most is the fact that I had to read that second "paragraph" about five times to figure out what it said. And it really DID NOT HELP that the word you're looking for is either "annoys" or "annoyed" - I'm gonna venture a guess toward the former.

And I don't know the comic. Don't even know what it is. But I could potentially see it as a stylistic choice that makes sense...

They could have at least changed the colors. I think a good amount of people know what the transparency layer in photoshop looks like.
