The question is a shiny new Super Nintendo seen by a child through the glass window of an F.A.O. Schwartz. It's bein' begged, my friend. Hardcore.

For the question to be begged, the OP would have to be trying to make some kind of argument in which she makes in implicit conclusion that cannot be held to social assumptions or common knowledge.

No question has been begged. OP not even trying to pretend she's being reasonable.

I thought we were having fun but you're being weird now.

I don't think I was being weird, but I was picking at a pet peeve. "Begging the question" is a phrase that is correctly used in debates when someone makes a circular argument. People often use it as you did, but I assure you, "one might ask why" is not what it means. It's a pet peeve, I probably shouldn't have answered at all but it makes me twitchy.
