A Troll in Central Park? A Troll in Central Park? Really?

Look, most of those movies, yeah. I'm a big Don Bluth fan, even like Anastasia (and Titan AE--how do you even leave that out?). But there's nothing good about A Troll In Central Park. If you enjoy it, fine. But don't say it has better development than recent Disney movies, because that's not even a matter of opinion, it's just straight out false. It's a movie made of filler and bland, pasted caricatures. Crying shame.

Now, if it had been replaced with Titan A.E. or the Iron Giant, yeah, I'd probably be with you.

Fern Gully was still far more fun than the Troll...thing. Imo anyway x3

Well, um...the main character's perspective is completely altered by his experience. He starts out as sort of a frat boy who doesn't really care about anything other than, well, getting paid and having a good time; by the end of the movie, he has grown up, has found something to believe in, and understands how his actions affect the world around him.

I could be getting my movies mixed up, because I haven't seen FernGully since I was god knows how young, but I thought he totally forgot about it all at the end.

Oh nooo, he definitely doesn't. One of the last scenes is actually of him going up to his employers and saying, "guys, we've got some things we need to talk about..."

What I find really cool about the ending is that he makes the conscious decision to leave Fern Gully so that he can fight for what he now believes in. He could have stayed; his new friends even ask him to. But he chooses the path of responsibility instead.

(Can you tell I love this movie? :-p)

Also - come on, Thumbelina is all about her stupid love story with a guy she just met for 2 seconds. :| No. Character Development.
And I love a lot of Don Bluth - and sometimes his movies kind of fall flat (too much about animation and not enough about story).

No, no, it really isn't. Its that "under-rated" movie that "no one" has seen, except for the fact that everybody has, it just doesn't leave that big of an impression. Except for near the end.

Titan A.E. and Iron Giant are great movies. ♥
