The colouring looks pretty until you realise there is no consistent light source. That's one of the first lessons of shading. Where is the light coming from? Above? Right? Left? If this artist is setting "homework" for people, they should learn to shade first.

You know, I only went to read the story because you made it sound /that/ bad, but you know what? It's engaging so far, it's colourful and descriptive. You're entitled to your own opinion of course, but I can't help but wonder why you are so upset over a few liberties being taken. There is far worse fan fiction out there than AHEW.
