If your friendship is set up such that you follow your friend to their things and they don't follow you to yours, it's not going to change, unfortunately. If you want that kind of reciprocity, you need to set your relationship up that way from the start, and make it clear that you aren't just there to be #1 fangirl or whatever. It's not like "after a while, we switch!" Doesn't work that way.

This secret's making me feel guilty because I know I do this to one of my friends. It's just- she likes a wider range of stuff than I do, so while most everything I like she likes as well, the reverse isn't true.

Reading this though, I'm gonna try to give more of the things she suggests a chance from now on.
