I think this could make somebody you shared a room with uncomfortable, whether or not they knew the fandom. I love DN and Matt, and even seeing this is just kind of making me awkwardly giggle because it's funny, but wow, did not need to know that. Thing about masturbation though is, it's awkward and weird no matter what even though most people do it. Talking to fictional characters while you do it isn't that out there... just you're right, roommates don't want to know these things.

But the good news is, your future roommates probably masturbate too. So here's what you do: you talk to them when you're setting up your house rules for living together. You come up with some kind of solution that everyone can use for when they need some privacy to have people over or to have some special alone time with themselves. Get a "do not disturb" sign, put a sock on the doorknob... have some kind of sign that lets you and your roommates know that it's a really bad time to go in. It's an embarrassing conversation to have, but it's a lot less embarrassing than being caught in the middle of a date with Rosie Palms.
