I really would think it would be the whole "anti-civilization" bit that people wouldn't get freak out more by but I forget not everyone is used to vegan culture.

A.L.F. support is pretty standard in vegan culture. Not everyone backs it, mind you, but a lot of the vocal people do. I think it'd be different if someone actually died directly and not just property damage. As far as I know, there haven't been murders/manslaughter convictions traced to them. I could be wrong.

But the problem with ALF is that their methods are such that it could easily lead to people being hurt and killed. Also ALF has been under investigation for bodily harm other offenses more serious than property damage.

There are plenty of animal rights movements that are just as effective and don't subscribe to alf's tactics. The Vegan community's support of alf is part of what makes me stay very far away from them. They're hearts on in the right place but they're very misguided and naive.

You're right! A.L.F. hasn't been linked to anything but property damage. I'm not the biggest fan of their tactics but they don't deserve the demonization that they get.

Just because no one has died and/or gotten injured yet, doesn't mean it's okay for them to do this. Violence should never be used as a means to an end, period. And it will never help the cause, only hurt it.

He may not be broken-hearted, but he's certainly gotten in enough immature Twitter battles over it to illustrate how much it bothers him.

I think he relies on people not being smart enough/interested enough to really know what the things he stands for actually mean. So it always catches him off guard to be called on his bullshit.

I've hated this guy ever since he posted about the massive post-civilization boner he got over exploring post-Katrina New Orleans. (I've also heard too many separate stories about him and young girls to completely discount...)

ALF has never killed anyone, they take every precaution to avoid hurting people and animals. They only liberate animals in places of extreme abuse and destroy equipment and facilities used to torture those animals. They are not equatable to pro-life nutjobs that think nothing of killing doctors.

Just thought I'd throw that out there, but I can see this thread is going to be full of uninformed opinions thrown around so I'll just quietly step back.
