*handshakes backkk* Seriously. when i first read the thing (years ago) I knew something was wrong. It was a sinking pit. It was like, how can anyone see Sailor moon as anything other than a big sue (And she USED to be my favourite character ever) when the manga basically says "she's whatt he whole UNIVERSE" revolves around? That the senshis lives just aren't worth much evern though they're princesses of their own planets.

OMG YOU'RE THE FIRST PERSON TO TELL ME THIS EVER!

I thought I alone saw the manga this way. Manga!Moon was always exceedingly over the top - all her senshi could twist her neck without breaking a sweat and yet somehow she was always the strongest of all. The sparkliest. Her freaking star seed shone so bright that even senshi who lived outside the solar system could feel it.

*facepalm*

THE MANGA TREATED EVERYONE BUT MOON LIKE THEY WERE EXPENDABLE - at one point I was keeping count of Senshi death tolls/kidnappings and I was not amused.

It made me respect their anime versions a hundred times more. At least in the anime everyone who was in charge of protection actually protected Usagi instead of getting kidnapped/killed all the time. D:

Yeah, that always makes me sad too. I mean, Sailor Moon gets her prince, gets a daughter, gets to keep all her friends close, gets a frigging new kingdom and all the girls have is their friendship and their duty. *iz sad* I think this is partly why I've become so attracted to the idea of the sen/shi pairings: it balances things out, and gives the girls some chance of romantic happiness of their own.
