What? Who does this? A person who truly knows math will be able to explain the concepts a lot better than someone who's obviously just scraping by.

Wut? As someone who spent 4 years of highschool in ~special class just for ~mathlets, those who "truly know math" often can't explain it AT ALL (in part because they're just bad at explaining, in part because they can't gauge what's simple and what's not anymore).

Well, some people who are really well versed in a subject are poor teachers (look at some college professors)

That doesn't mean that I want a teacher who knows jack shit about the subject they are teaching, either
