I thought I'd just put some sort of twist to this whole "secret number six" bit - men have a sort of lock-on device to women. It's built somewhere in the deep little crevices of their brains to find a woman and procreate, as pure instinct (since humans are animals with more aggressive males than females when it comes to spawning the species, scientifically speaking). Now, I can't exactly explain gay men, but I can explain this easy-for-girls-to-turn-bisexual thing: women don't have that lock-on. They don't say deep deep deep in the back of their brain, "MAN. SEX. BABIES." Soooo, technically speaking, all women can be bisexual, but straight women and lesbians are just picky. Me, I'm bisexual 'cause hey, why cut out half the human race just 'cause you can't have babies with them? *shrug* As long as he/she's hot, I'd hit that.

I dunno if this comment applies to what you were thinking of, but I just thought I'd shed a little more light on it.

Where did you find that info? I've never heard of it before.

My brother's GSA was doing all sorts of factoids (that I'm pretty sure they got from GLSEN) on Day of Silence at his school, and he told me about it. :3

Like I said to the previous response, this is siphoned information. This is from my brother's GSA adviser, who presumably got it from GLSEN, since it was for their Day of Silence and GLSEN's naturally a big supporter of that.

Whoops! I think I mixed up factoids (either that or I've got a faulty memory.) I just asked him again and he said it was from his gym class (when they sit out, like if they don't have clothes or they have an injury, they have to do a report on a newspaper or magazine article from the teacher's photocopies of choice as busy work.) He couldn't remember the date of the article (but since I went through the same school and have gotten those assignments before and don't remember seeing that particular one, I'm assuming it's more recent), but he did remember it was from the New York Times. Unfortunately, I think you need a subscription to use their online services, of which I have none, and thus cannot search for it. :( I would've liked to read it myself, but maybe my brother's gym teacher can give him a copy of it and I can scan it as proof. Sorry it sounds sorta not legit without hard evidence. :\
