If that's the reason, then by all means. I just replied according to how I saw the secret.

Well, the OP mentioned not liking it because of the fangirls that insisted it was CANON, and I agree that it's not, though at the same time it's a pretty grey area because PW is pretty open to interpretation? Seeing it had so much going on in it and so many relationships.

I have never seen a fangirl ever insist that it was canon. I've seen many a joke about it, but never someone seriously try to put forth the idea that it's a canon couple and Edgeworth and Phoenix are toooootally making out inbetween cases. I've also never seen any P/E fangirl cry opression. And considering it's pretty easy to know who's who in this fandom, it's not like there's a secret enclave of super irritating fangirls out there. That I'm aware of. Hey, maybe there is one...though no one ever seems to be able to point the direction it's in to me.

Anyway, if the OP can't take good-natured jokes, that reflects more poorly on him/her than the fangirls. Yes, it can get irritating seeing a lot of fics you don't like pop up. But that's life. Blaming people that like the couple and celebrate in it seems silly to me. They're not hurting you.

Oh yeah, seriously. Every fandom has that though, yes? We make silly jokes about things, but god, it's not like any of us INSIST and BELIEVE that they're canon. But that might be us, I don't like pairing wars and I don't involve myself in fandoms so deeply that they take away my sense of reason or whatever.

*dies* Randomly, somehow it feels like telling people to do that (re: telling them not to blame people that celebrate pairings) is offensive to them. It's almost like people want to cause other people stress in their respective fandoms instead of keeping the peace. It's upsetting. Gah.
