2- I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. It took me 5 years to get out of drawing anime. And now I still have traces of it, sure, but I take pride in the fact I can draw styles now from anime to most popular flash cartoons and demi-realisticly. The trick is just drawing oodles of real life and retraining your eye. I get irked as hell when someone labels my work anime, but also at the same time I have others say they see disney and an analgomy of other influences asides from japan. So have faith!
