White wings on Aziraphale are just as much fanon as black ones on Crowley; the book doesn't mention color at all. I see angels as having really varied multicolored plumage and the patterns are as individual as a fingerprint.
In my head, Aziraphale's are largely blue and cream and gold; Crowley's are red and charcoal and copper....obviously there's a lot of room for YMMV here, and that's the beauty of it.

(Anonymous) 2011-03-17 05:55 am (UTC)(link)It's true that nothing's mentioned in the text, but in the Corgi (British) edition there's some art in each chapter, and it draws Crowley with black wings and Aziraphale with white (with the wings looking the same other than the colour). So although I wouldn't call it hard canon due to the lack of a mention in the text, I can't say that there is no basis for it or that it's mere fanon.

But the black/white wing thing is one of the things that the secret-poster OP was objecting to! Take it up with hir, not me!
