It's not the fact that the smugglers were Chinese, that's fine. But the whole thing was just a mess of orientalism and lazy tropes. I could have overlooked the stereotyped way Soo Lin was portrayed for the reasons you suggest if it weren't for the way they filmed the rest of it (the dramatic cuts in Chinatown because all Chinese people are sinister and Other!) As it is, I'm not buying it.

I mean, I loved the other two episodes, and I'm excited about the new series, but that doesn't stop me seeing the epic race fail in TBB. Which, incidentally, is connected to the wider problems of that episode, because it was all just lazy and ill-considered.

Pretty late but...

We have a Feral (gone tank, since our Guild Master/main tank left for rift) who still does amazingly good when he has to dps, but I believe that they have done a lot of changes. :(
