Slash = exploring male/male dynamic and partnerships. it can be any rating from the most mild of G to the most hardcore of NC-17, as what defines slash is the homosexual relationship, not the deep dicking.

porn = most of the time, porn = sex.

So yeah, you're either playing dumb, or you really are a homophobic ass. Either way, I don't think that you should worry so much about people creating a fandom around your work since I find it deeply doubtful that you'll ever even be published.

Sorry, I thought slash was the acceptable term for shipping in general. Because, that is what I don't like, mainly because of how quickly it becomes sexual.

No, it's really not. 'Shipping' is the acceptable term for shipping in general. 'Slash' is something completely different, something much more specific, as Bunnymcfoo typed above.

Also, you can have non-sexual slash fanfiction/art. Not everything in fandom is about sex, though that is clearly what you think fandom is all about.

In all fairness, I've heard that that's how "slash" came into use? Idk, I know it had something to do with Star Trek. But yeah, now slash refers to homosexual pairings, usually male ones, where femmeslash is used to refer to lesbian pairings.
