And I wish people would get off their moral high horses and stop declaring, "You deserved it for writing all your child porn!"

Oh, please. You think that all those 500 communities that LJ banned were actual sources of child porn?

I'll tell you just how accurate LJ was. One of the communities they deleted was a joke community dedicated to a villain from a game who's widely thought of in the fandom as a pedophile. The funny thing? There were only two posts in the entire community. No "child porn" fics or anything.

Don't just take one shallow look at the issue and come up with some stupid conclusion that people were only mad over their "child porn" fics. Because a great deal of those communities had next to nothing to do with explicit fanfiction.

And I'm sorry that the "child porn" fics that people write sickens you so much, number 2. But I'm afraid that people are allowed to write whatever fiction they want (yes, LJ is a private company, but I don't recall them having guidelines for what fiction you can write in their TOS).

Same goes for anyone who agrees with #2. You're thinking "fandom" is a giant bunch of perverts, when many people involved were angered by LJ, but didn't act out as much as others. And their apology was pretty half-assed, if you look at the entire situation.

Please STFU and go read about the entire issue before coming to your own conclusions on "fandom." I'm even more sick and tired of people generalizing than those who've been whining.

11: Pirates and Ninjas agree: Cowboys suck! I saw it on a T-shirt. If I didn't live on an Army post, I'd buy it and wear it to FRG meetings. My husband is a Ninja and his best friend from when he was in the Air Force is a Pirate. In my world, the Pirate and the Ninja are best friends.
