That's not a secret. It was. The whole episode was kind of meh, tbh. Honestly, when the line "Allons-y, Alonso!" is the high point of the show...

It was worse than "meh", it was BAD. Astrid's death was completely unnecessary (that forklift was going at a snail's pace, but she couldn't just jump out?); The Doc gave a bad ass speech about saving everyone, then completely failed to do so; and everyone who dies was either female, a minority, or both, while all the White men survived. Thanks, show!

It's been a long time since I've watched it, so I didn't want to overstate the case. :)

Sadly, the fact that only the white men lived didn't even occur to me. Now, I hate that episode even more. Mostly I just LOL at the slow motion bit. It's so ridiculously overdramatic.

Dude, i hate to disappoint you, but no one cares. If you're going to be here, at least repost that epic Giles mpreg. It7s the only thing worth pixeld yyou ever wrote.

I just re-watched this episode last night. It was worse that "meh", worse than "bad"- it was a veritable trainwreck.

The first time I watched this episode, I was drunk out of my mind. I just kept asking people if that was really her, and then once I was able to believe them, I started yelling at her to sing "I Believe In You" /csb

That was such a fucking terrible episode.

Which episode is this? I'm just starting Ten's run so I'd like to know which one to skip...

I believe it's called Voyage of the Damned. It's one of the specials.

Yep, that's the one. I'm pretty sure you can skip it without missing any plot point, so I'd say go for it.

Feh. Haters gonna hate, I love that episode if only because Kylie's playing someone with the same first name as me. In fact, when I watched it I was too busy thinking "Holy crap, maybe if enough people see this, they'll start saying my name right!"* to care about the acting.

*= Sadly, it didn't help. I would have just chalked it down to Doctor Who still not being exactly mainstream, but since HTTYD hasn't helped either... :( We need more Astrids in fiction, seriously.

Please tell me you're a Fringe fan! If not, there's an Astrid in the main cast, and she's awesome.

I didn't even notice her acting, because I always get hung up on how bad the writing is.

LOL I thought everyone had this opinion. She really wasn't the right person to pick for the special. I didn't think it was as much of a trainwreck as others did, but that episode definitely could have used a different companion.

I thought she did pretty well, but whatever.

And given enough time, RTD ruins everything he touches.
