I have no opinion on him as a person, but he irritated me on Sex and the City and I loathe him on US of Tara. His characters, not his acting.

Y u h8 on Aiden? tbph, I think he was the nicest most understanding person Carrie went out with and that's why he irritated me so much.

I agree, he's the only guy I can remember who Carrie had a significant relationship with that I thought treated her right, but something about him grated on me. I think maybe it was because he was so good and sweet and seemingly perfect, and that I could tell the show expected me to like him, that I found him off-putting. Up until that point he was pretty much the only character who wasn't dysfunctional or neurotic in any way, which also made him pretty boring. At least Carrie made up for it by being neurotic enough for like 7 people, heh.

Wow, I didn't know I had so much to say about this. :o

Yes, exactly. I can't remember a problem they had that wasn't Carrie just being neurotic, and I wanted Aiden to cause some of problems. I think I was also so annoyed that he couldn't see Carrie was all wrong for him, but instead asked her to marry him anyway. I just had a low opinion of his perception of their relationship.

Oh, John Corbett. I was so completely in love with him when he was on Northern Exposure (my god, I'm so much older than you people). I tuned in every freakin' week to get just the slightest glimpse of him, but I've been SO DISAPPOINTED in his career since then. He was cute in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, but it just went downhill from there.

Aiden probably made him good money, but he was just the least of the worst of Carrie's terrible life choices. It was like the train wreck I just couldn't look away from.

And he's the voice of APPLEBEE'S for god's sake...
