At first I was kind of intrigued by the character, but by like the third time he showed up and started babbling about stupid crap I was just, "Get out of my face, weirdo."

Cheren and Bianca got on my nerves, too. NO, BITCH, I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR A BATTLE I AM TRYING TO SAVE THE WORLD. JESUS.

I agree the rival battle spam is definitely annoying. I like Bianca a little but Cheren just bores me as a character.

I was torn between liking and hating the battle spam. On the one hand, I liked that everything was more interactive. Hell, even the professor went out and did stuff, unlike the others who just wait for you to complete your Pokedex. But yeah, it was like "Every move you make, every step you take, N/Bianca/Cheren will be battling you."
