I really liked her until "Rockstar", TBH. Maybe I'm missing the point, but I think she was trying to explain that the divorce didn't effect her when it did and she sounded like she was in denial. That's when I started not liking her. Then "Raise Your Glass" finally was the deal breaker, just because I thought she should probably mature by now. Not trying to hate, but that's my opinion of her.


EDIT: But I should listen to her other recent songs (on the new album, only have heard three), just to see. I really want to start liking her again. I adored how she stood out against the generic pop stars.

Try some songs like 'Glitter in the Air' and 'Crystal Ball'. Also, if you weren't a fan of U.S. President Bush (2nd) try 'Dear Mr. President'. It features the Indigo Girls, and is very political if you are into that sort of thing.

Actually, I heard all those. I meant the most recent album, containing "Fuckin Perfect" and "Raise Your Glass".

I liked Dear Mr. President and somewhat liked Crystal Ball. But I'm still "eh" on her. It's the whole "lost and wondering where I go from here" that seems to scream at me, maybe. I like more uplifting stuff, you know?

Like fictionalbf said, the latest is a compilation with only three new songs on it as an added bonus, not a full album. I personally find Pink's music very uplifting. 'Lost and wandering' is something most people can relate too. The last album was mostly during her separation from, and reunion with her husband. That was where she was at in her life, and the theme of uncertainty reflects that. I see what you're saying, I just see it differently.

All right, thanks for letting me know. I had heard they were from a new album, I suppose I should just research these things myself.

I personally don't find some of her stuff uplifting. But, of course, that is just me. I may be able to relate, but I want happy things, you know?

Yeah, uplifting 24/7 would grate on my nerves. haha

I'm more like 'Let's vent all of this stuff, no matter how immature it is. Then I'll work on happy when I feel better."

"So What?" (I think that's the one you're talking about) began as just a joke and a way to vent and have a little fun after the divorce. She didn't intend for it to be a single. And after being told "OMFG that needs to be your single, do it, do it, do it!" she only agreed to it if Hart would come in and do the video with her to make sure he wasn't hurt by it. And that working together started them on the road to reconciliation.

That's pretty much exactly how I feel, I used to actually like her but at this point I just find her annoying.
