I like her music okay, but I can't STAND her music videos. It's like, no, you're not the big outcast here, you're a huge mainstream pop singer. The crazy shit you do in your videos is the "OMG I'M SO WEIRD LOL" kind of stuff that the POPULAR kids did at my high school. And your sense of humor is just dumb. Plus, say what you will about the songs, but the music video for "Firework" (and the music video it rips off, "Beautiful") did a WAY better job at the whole "outcast" representation than you did. And that one video, I think it was Raise Your Glass, where you said the word "freak" while showing the only image of a gay couple (who are not extraordinary besides being gay) in your video was KINDA not cool.

Oh, and the radio edit of "Fucking Perfect" is actually better.

This probably wouldn't bother me if I didn't genuinely like her music.

OMG, I thought I was the only one who liked the radio edit of Fuckin Perfect.

Right? The word "fucking" just doesn't really flow with the rest of the song. And I think the idea of feeling "Less than, less than perfect" is a lot more moving than "Less than fucking perfect." It actually means more, I think.

Yeah, I'm not usually one to care for bad language, nor am I surprised to know that it had an edit to begin with, but the radio version held a certain quality I enjoyed.

Oddly enough, I felt that the use of "fucking perfect" really helped push the point home and call attention to what she was saying, and "less than perfect" seemed watered down.
