I'm not the incest police but I really want to know this. Are any of the ppl who ship John/Dean have kids of their own? As a parent of an 18 year old, the idea of John/Dean squicks me so hard it surprises me people find John/Dean hot. Not trying to judge, just trying to understand. So I'm picturing the John/Dean shippers as not having their own kids. I am probably wrong.

I don't have kids, but I do have siblings (with whom I have a very normal, non incestuous relationship) and I still ship sibling pairings. Just like I ship parent/child pairings even though I don't have a weird relationship with my parents. For some people, their own personal experience is no reason NOT to ship a pairing if they like it.

This. I don't have kids but I do have siblings and I ship both Sam/Dean and John/Dean. It's just fiction. I like the dynamic they have and like exploring it in a sexualized manner. In John/Dean I prefer that it's always acknowledged that it's abusive, though.
