I feel like this is just what Yugioh does to people. You always go in expecting it to be nothing but stupid, but then once you watch it you realize that the characters are actually really charming and amazing.

Actually, after having read the director's twitter on 5D's, it all makes much more sense. That man is hilarious. "So then we wanted a giant fist to come down and crush the opposing monster... like the giant foot from Monthy Python!" T____T

No kiddng. T_T When I started watching, I actually thought it was already over. I was shocked when I got to episode 152 and discovered I had to wait a week for the end. haha Oh crappy timing.
