I fuckin' loved that book! It's probably one of three Dear America books that I ever really loved, and I totally second the tearing up... That whole story was one big inspiration to me-- working hard, doing something really hard that you don't really want to do, but you have to anyway, keeping hope and keeping faith, following your heart, and then you'll get rewarded for that. Her last entry made me cry.

...I feel like such a loser now...
